Make this year’s festivities extra special and book your Christmas dinner with us!

As well as all the delicious dishes on our Main Menu, we’ll also be offering a traditional Christmas turkey dinner with all the trimmings including roast potatoes, Vichy carrots, pigs-in-blankets, Brussel sprouts and stuffing. We will also offer a vegetarian alternative of homemade nut roast. Starters and desserts can also be chosen from any of the dishes on our main menu as well as our ubiquitous mince pies, served with Purbeck Christmas ice cream.

Party Bookings are now being taken. Christmas turkey dinner orders need to be placed in advance and will require a deposit of £10 per person.

Group bookings are limited to 15. Limited availability at weekends so please book early.

Whether it’s a Lazy Lunch, a Fast Filler or a Dusky Dinner, you’ll find the food here at Le Bateau right up your street. Located right in the heart of Ashley Cross, we serve delicious and healthy seafood and vegetarian cuisine right through to 9pm five days a week.

Our head chef Martin extends his 30-year love of surfing and search for adventure fully into his food and he’s always looking to try new flavours and combinations.

Grab a pizza the action!

Central to the dining experience at Le Bateau is our wood-fired pizza oven which turns out the most delicious rustic style pizzas this side of the Milan. All our pizzas are cooked to order using a wide range of fresh ingredients to suit every taste and the stone-baked bases are cooked to perfection by our experienced in-house chefs.

From our basic Margherita, prepared using the best buffalo mozzarella and fresh basil, right up to our King prawn pizza topped with sun blushed tomatoes and fresh rocket, there’s a pizza for everyone, including several vegetarian options . We can also make our pizzas to be gluten-free or with vegan alt cheese – just ask when ordering.

We do love to be beside the seaside…

Being so close to the sea, it would almost be a crime to not have ‘fruits de mer’ on our menu. Along with our standard courses, check out our Daily Board for our Seafood Dish of the Day. We pride ourselves on our freshly-prepared shellfish and fish courses and all our seafood is sourced locally wherever possible. So whether it be a delicious bowl of Moules Mariniere, Atlantic Prawns in tomato, basil and chilli sauce or our Fresh Fish of the Day (often line-caught the night before) you can be sure of a real taste of the Dorset seaside.

Food for every taste and persuasion.

For those who like to steer clear of anything with a pulse, we have a hearty, healthy and appetising vegetarian menu that is as delicious as it is wholesome; in fact, even the most ardent carnivores will find our food irresistible! Starters include homemade dips, fried Halloumi or baked Camembert. For main course you can enjoy a super-healthy Big V or heavenly goat’s cheese and roast beetroot salad or, for larger appetites, our Big V spiced cauliflower burger with hummus and fries.

We aim to accommodate all tastes and persuasions. As well as being able to tailor most courses for vegetarians and vegans, all of our pizzas can be made gluten free or with vegan alt cheese. So if you have any dietary requirements or allergies, please let us know and we’ll do our best to integrate your needs.
